PdfPro Privacy Policy

PdfPro is a mobile application that lets you open, read, create, edit, merge, split, annotate, secure, and share PDF documents on your device.

3.1. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following information only on your device to provide its features:

• Recent files: File names and file paths for your library list
• App preferences: Theme (light/dark), language, and similar settings
• Usage counters: Anonymous counters such as PDF open counts used to manage ad frequency
• Created or edited PDFs: Saved in the app's document directory on your device

This data remains on your device and is not automatically sent to our servers.

3.2. Device Permissions and Accessed Data

The App may request the following permissions to perform the actions you choose:

• Storage / file access: List, open, and save PDF files on your device
• Photos / media access: Create PDFs from images
• Camera: Scan documents to create PDFs
• Internet: Ads, remote configuration, and analytics services

You can revoke permissions at any time through your device settings. Denying a permission may disable the related feature but does not necessarily prevent all App functionality.

3.3. Data Collected by Third-Party Services

The App uses the following Google services, which may collect data under their own privacy policies:

a) Google AdMob (Advertising)

The App displays banner, interstitial, native, and MREC ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its advertising partners may collect:

• Advertising ID (Android) or Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA on iOS)
• Device model and operating system version
• IP address (approximate location)
• App usage data and ad interactions
• Data used for ad personalization

b) Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used. Data that may be collected includes:

• App launches and session information
• Device and operating system information
• General usage events (anonymous or pseudonymous)

c) Firebase Remote Config

We use Firebase Remote Config to manage ad display settings remotely. This service may process device and app information when fetching configuration data.

We use collected information for the following purposes:

• Providing App functionality (reading, editing, and saving PDFs)
• Remembering recent files and user preferences
• Displaying ads and measuring ad performance
• Analyzing App performance and usage
• Managing the ad experience through remote configuration
• Complying with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only in these cases:

• Google (AdMob, Firebase): For advertising and analytics services
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or valid legal process
• Share feature: When you choose to share a PDF, sharing is handled by the app you select (email, messaging, etc.) under your control

Ads may be personalized based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising:

Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

iOS:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off Personalized Ads

You can also reset your advertising identifier (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID).

• Preferences and file list stored on device: Until you delete the App or clear App data
• Created PDF files: Until you delete them
• Firebase / AdMob data: Subject to Google's retention policies

Uninstalling the App typically removes local data from your device. Data held by third-party services is governed by those providers' policies.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. PDF processing occurs on your device. Data transmitted over the internet (for ads and analytics) is handled according to the security standards of the relevant service providers.

PdfPro is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

If you are in the European Economic Area, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

The App or ads displayed within it may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may notify you through the App or other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
